Meet the Team
Founder, Consultant, Coach & Educator
Eventually Brent stepped in and over the course of several years completed Breuninger and Sons’ final projects –including the complete renovation of an eight-story building on Pennsylvania Avenue in Foggy Bottom, just outside of Georgetown. By the time the business was completely wound down he had learned an enormous amount about the world of construction, development, property management, real estate, law, accounting, interior design and more.
In 1990 Brent and his wife Laura founded Baker Construction & Development in Sandpoint, Idaho. Having started his career with industrial carpentry, then segueing through mixed-use, remodeling and renovation, he finally got to connect with his passion – building well-designed, built-to-last single-family homes, and doing in-fill, rural and recreational development work. The company prospered, eventually getting an Idaho Public Works license and becoming licensed in Montana and California as well, with 26 employees and a satellite office in Redwood City, California.
By 2004 he had sold half the company to key employees and moved on to do ski resort development in British Columbia. Subsequently selling the rest of his interest in his construction company, Brent was engaged by The Aspire Institute in 2015 as a consultant and joined the team as a full-time employee in May of 2016 as Director of Coaching, and in 2019 was named Director of Education. Leaving Aspire in February of 2020 he founded Elevate Now Consulting in order to extend the reach of his programs beyond the confines of a single industry. Brent has personally consulted and coached for well over a hundred companies and has additionally been a tireless business, executive and organizational coach and educator for many hundreds of aspiring managers, students and entrepreneurs.
Brent and his wife Laura live on a small ranch in North Idaho where they raised their four now-grown daughters, and where they continue to instill the values of solid work ethic and appreciation of the natural world to their six grandchildren. When they are not in Idaho, Brent and Laura will likely be found at their retreat in the Southwest of France, from which Brent works part of the year.
Hannah grew up on a ranch in northern Idaho with her parents and three older sisters, and left for boarding school at the age of 14 in search of broader exposure to the world. Over the next 8 years at St. Paul’s School in New Hampshire and Williams College in Massachusetts – where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with BA in Chinese language– Hannah learned four languages and studied abroad in three countries as she pursued her liberal arts education. After working in China from 2009 to 2010 to establish a progressive arts and science based curriculum in a rural county education system, she returned to the United States to earn her MA in Chinese Language and Literature from San Francisco State University.
Since 2015, Hannah has worked to build the support team at Magoosh, an education technology company based in Berkeley, California. Over four years, as the company grew, she brought the Student Help department from a group of 25 mixed-performing independent contractors providing a basic level of service to students, to a team of 50 high-performing part-time and full-time employees who provide industry leading academic and technical support, add-on services, sales support, and internal support for growth and product development. In 2021 Hannah was promoted to Vice President of Operations.
Hannah specializes in remote team management, scaling operations, and leading through long-term vision and strategy frameworks. She loves helping companies usher ideas from concept to reality, and is passionate about coaching women professionals on how to generate productive disagreement and advocate for their ideas in the workplace.
